The data are collected from each faculty of medicine in the autumn of each year. The survey was revised for the 1980/81 CMES publication to improve reporting on sources of funds and disciplines, and again in 2012/13 to standardize disciplines. Currently the survey is under review again with the faculties to ensure standardization in reporting practices.
